My New Planner (obsession)

So I might have found myself a new obsession. And it has to do with planners...

So at the end of May, I watched a video on YouTube and all of a sudden I was hooked on planning. I grabbed my planner and started actually using it. And I've found that when I write something down in my planner, it (usually) gets done. I like having it to keep track of everything I'm doing and scheduling stuff. I can see when I'm working during the week and be able to schedule the tasks that I have to get done around that. I never really liked to use a planner before but I also have never really found one that worked for me. I also found out how much I like to use stickers in my planning (post exclusively on stickers coming soon). I find that stickers makes planning more interesting and fun and makes me actually want to plan... and when I plan I actually do the things I should be doing.

As I was starting to use my current planner more and more, I realized it really wasn't working for me. It is great for during the week, but once it gets to the weekend, I literally have only 5 lines for Sundays. I do way more on Sundays than 5 lines worth. So knowing that, I knew that I wanted another vertical style planner because that was really working well for me, but I wanted one that had more room to write on the weekends. I knew about the Erin Condren Life Planner and I started searching through YouTube, and finally decided that it is the one for me. When they were released on June 9, I ordered myself an 18-month planner and I could not be more excited.

So now I am developing a system to how I plan. I have my Erin Condren, but I have also acquired a traveler's notebook planner from Yellow Paper House on Etsy and I think I will be using that for more of an on-the-go planner. I also have started to use a bullet journal for just everything that I have to do in a day. But I also have started to keep shopping lists and wish lists and all sorts of lists in there. I really like the idea of keeping them all in one place and not having to keep my book wislists separate from my planner wishlists. I can literally just go to the next page and start the list.

Basically what I'm saying is, it takes a while to find a system and sometimes it's really multiple systems all combined together.
