The first is that I got a promotion at work. I am now a Sales Leader. I'm part of the management team and I will have a division of responsibility. I'm really excited for this new chapter in my life at the store! Today is my first day going "live," which means that I've finished my training and I'm ready to do everything on my own... almost. Gotta give me a chance to get used to my new role under supervision before making me do everything on my own.
I'm also going to be starting rehearsals for a new play called The Wilderness by Theron Patterson. I'm going to be stage managing it and it will be my first professional stage management job! EEK!! I'm really excited for the opportunity and to be working with The Fern Theatre again.
So basically my life is about to get crazy busy and I'm not going to have very much time to read or much time to myself at all. I'll probably get through some audiobooks because I'll be having to drive back and forth to rehearsals (during rush hour). I'm going to try and find some good time to have for reading, but I don't know how much that is going to happen. I'm already getting really tired at night with just my training shifts and that's mostly just sitting at a computer reading information all day. I can't imagine how tired I'm going to be when I'm having to be at the store to open at 9am everyday and then go until like 5 and then go straight to rehearsal until like 11pm. So it'll definitely be an interesting time and it'll definitely take me back to my college years when I'd basically have to do exactly that on top of schoolwork too. So this might be a bit easier than I thought (although I will have to be on my feet for like 8 hours everyday).
